    Aims to facilitate international communication in information processing. Presents, in two languages, terms and definitions of concepts relevant to information processing and identifies relationships between entries. To facilitate their translation into other languages, the definitions are drafted so as to avoid any peculiarity attached to a language. Deals with character sets, codes, graphic characters, control characters, strings, words, sets of data, separators and identifiers.
