    FASC 10143 La presente Guida riguarda l'applicazione della normativa tecnica relativa alla sicurezza funzionale dei sistemi strumentati per gli impianti di processo industriale. Essa si applica essenzialmente alla Norma di Settore Serie CEI EN 61511, che è specifica per questi sistemi. Poiché però questa norma di settore è fortemente basata, per l'impostazione generale, sulla Norma Generica CEI EN 61508 e ad essa rimanda per alcuni aspetti, la Guida considera spesso le due norme congiuntamente.
