    Diese Norm gilt für Gasturbinen, die im offenen Prozess und mit normalem Verbrennungssystem arbeiten, und dient auch als Grundlage für die in geschlossenen oder halboffenen Prozessen arbeitenden Gasturbinen. Fallsdie Gasturbinen mit Freikolbenverdichtern oder mit besonderen Wärmequellen ausgerüstet sind (z. B. chemische Prozesse, Kernraktoren, Feuerung eines druckgefeuerten Kessels), dann kann diese Norm als Grundlage dienen, muss aber entsprechend angepasst werden.
