Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

This European Standard specifies safety and performance requirements and test methods for bicycles for young children, in respect of the design, assembly and testing of bicycles and sub-assemblies. Guidelines for instructions on the use and care of bicycles are also provided. This European Standard applies to bicycles with a maximum saddle height of more than 435 mm and less than635 mm (typical rider weight of 30 kg), and propelled by a transmitted drive to the rear wheel. This European Standard does not apply to special bicycles intended for stunting (e.g. BMX bicycles).NOTEFor bicycles with a maximum saddle height of 435 mm see EN 71 and for bicycles with a saddle height of 635 mm or more see prEN 14764.
