    Esta norma especifica el método de ensayo y establece los criterios de aceptación para determinar la capacidad de lubricación de las grasas lubricantes destinadas a la lubricación de las cajas de grasa. La capacidad de lubricación, sobre todo vinculada a la capacidad que tienen las grasas lubricantes de proteger contra el desgaste, se determina en un banco de ensayo de engrase de rodamientos.
