    EN 50267-2-1 legt das Verfahren für die Bestimmung des Gehaltes an Halogenwasserstoffsäure mit Ausnahme von Fluorwasserstoff fest, die bei der Verbrennung von Mischungen auf der Basis halogenierter Polymere oder von Mischungen mit halogenierten Additiven von Kabeln und isolierten Leitungen entsteht. Die Anwendung des Verfahrens wird aus Genauigkeitsgründen nicht empfohlen, wenn der Halogengehalt der entstehenden sauren Gase weniger als 5 mg/g der verwendeten Probe ist. Das Verfahren ist nicht geeignet für die nähere Bestimmung von Mischungen oder Werkstoffen, die als 'nicht-halogenhaltig' oder 'halogenfrei' bezeichnet werden. Für derartige Mischungen oder Werkstoffe und alle Mischungen oder Werkstoffe, deren Gehalt an gleichwertigen Säuren weniger als 5 mg/g beträgt, wird empfohlen, das in EN 50267-2-2 festgelegte Prüfverfahren zu verwenden.
