Guidelines for establishing specifications for telecontrol systems and equipment following other relevant standards such as CCITT recommendations. Facilitates the comparison of equipment of different manufacturers.

This series of standards applies to telecontrol equipment and systems with coded bit serial data transmission for monitoring and control of geographically widespread processes.
