    Diese Norm legt die Anforderungen an flache extrudierte Tafeln aus Polycarbonat für allgemeine Anwendungen fest. Sie ist spezifisch anwendbar für Platten, die aus Poly(p,p'-isopropylidenediphenol)carbonat gemacht sind. Die Tafeln können eingefärbt oder farblos sein, und sie können durchsichtig, durchscheinend oder undurchsichtig sein. Die Tafeln können auch eine spezielle witterungsschützende Beschichtung auf einer oder auf beiden Seiten haben. Diese Norm ist nur bei Platten mit einer Dicke von 1,5 mm aufwärts anzuwenden.
