    Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Ermittlung der Biegeeigenschaften von Kunststoffen unter definierten Bedingungen fest. Es ist ein genormter Probekörper festgelegt, jedoch sind die Parameter für andere Probekörper, falls angemessen, enthalten. Das Verfahren wird für die Untersuchung des Biegeverhaltens der Probekörper und für die Bestimmung der Biegefestigkeit, des Biegemoduls und anderer Gesichtspunkte der Spannungs-Dehnungs-Beziehung unter den definierten Bedingungen der Biegebeanspruchung verwendet. Es wendet einen frei unterstützten Balken an, der in der Mitte der Stützweite belastet wird (Dreipunktversuch).
