Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM gilt für Kondensatoreinheiten und Kondensatorbatterien, die insbesondere zur Verbesserung des Leistungsfaktors von Wechselspannungsnetzen bis 1 000 V Nennspannung und Frequenzen von 15 Hz bis 60 Hz eingesetzt werden. Dieser Teil der ÖVE/ÖNORM ist auch anwendbar auf Kondensatoren in Leistungs- Filterkreisen. Zusätzliche Begriffe, Anforderungen und Prüfungen für Filterkondensatoren sind im Anhang A angegeben.
