    Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM enthält Anforderungen und Prüfungen für Elektroinstallationsrohrsysteme, inklusive Rohre und Rohrzubehörteile, zum Schutz und zur Führung von isolierten Leitern und/oder Kabeln in elektrischen Installationen oder in Kommunikationssystemen bis zu 1000 V Wechselspannung und/oder 1500 V Gleichspannung. Diese Norm ist anwendbar für metallene, nichtmetallene und Rohrsysteme in Gemischtbauweise; sie beinhaltet auch Anschlüsse mit und ohne Gewinde, welche das System beenden. Diese Norm ist nicht anwendbar für Gehäuse und Verbindungsdosen, welche innerhalb des Anwendungsgebietes der IEC 60670 behandelt werden.
