Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Provides guidelines for designers and testing staff on specification and use of change of temperature tests. This is meant to determine the effect on the sample of a change in temperature or succession of changes in temperature. Effect of such tests is determined by values of high and low conditioning temperature between which the change is to be effected, rate of change between temperatures, conditioning times for which the test sample is kept at these temperatures, amount of heat transfer into/from the sample, and number of cycles of conditioning. It is not meant to display effects which are due only to high or low temperature. The dry heat test or cold test should be used for these effects.
