    About Multi User PDFs

    Types of Multi User PDFs

    You can now buy Multi User PDFs for up to and including:

    • 3 users

    • 5 users

    • 9 users

    How do I buy one?

    Multi User PDFs are available from some publishers on our Infostore (Standards Australia in particlar) depending on the standard.

    Where available they'll be listed in the product formats for that standard. Simply select the number of users and add to your cart

    What can I do with my Multi User PDF?

    PDF for 3*, 5, 9 users

    Each user can:
    Print 2 copies
    Save a backup to USB/Network.
    The Standard is locked to each user's computer.
    Software installation required

    * This format replaces Multi User PDF (3)

    Removal of Multi User PDF (3) format

    By directive from Standards Australia, we will no longer be selling Multi User PDF (3) (PDF Networkable) Format for Standards Australia from the Infostore.

    We supply Standards from many different publishers and they have their own requirements as to how users can use their content.

    Instructions for Multi User PDFs


    What do I need to do to distribute my PDF to my colleagues?

    1. Log in to the My Orders page. Orders with a Multi-user PDF will show this message:
        Your order contains Multi-user PDF/s. Please use Add function below to distribute the PDF to users.
      Order_List
    2. Click to expand the order details.
      Look for the Add button and select to expand the form.
      Order_Details
    3. Then add each users First Name, Last Name and Email Address.
      Click on Add user to add more users or Submit when you have finished. The page will prompt you to confirm the details you have provided.

    4. Please click on Submit to confirm or Edit User to cancel the prompt and verify user details.
      You will get a success message once the PDF has been sent to the user.

    5. To add users later, simply Login

    6. Select Account and then My Orders

    What are the changes with multi-user PDF formats? - (Show below) - (Hide below)

    Around product format:
    - PDF Networkable or the Multi User PDF (3) are no longer available for sale
    - New Multi-user formats have been added for 3, 5 and 9 users

    On the product page:
    - Users will be prompted whenever add a Multi-user PDF to their cart in order to purchase

    Around checkout process / when transacting:
    - You will require to be logged in on the Infostore to purchase Multi-user PDFs
    - You will require to be logged in on the Infostore to distribute Multi-user PDFs
    - If you do not have an account on the Infostore then you will need to register for an account. Click here to create an account

    After successful purchase:
    - On the Order Confirmation page, you will see a link to take to directly to your My Orders page
    - You can click on the order that has a Multi-user PDF purchased and distribute the PDF

    What is a Multi-user PDF? - (Show below) - (Hide below)

    A multi-user PDF has the following features:
    - Is an electronic PDF watermarked with the recipient’s name and purchasing Company or Individual’s name
    - Is protected by Digital Rights Management ( DRM ) . Read more about DRM here
    - Can be distributed to maximum 3, 5 or 9 users
    - Individual PDF is locked to original machine it was opened on
    - Allows to print 2 copies
    - You can save a backup copy e.g. on a USB drive however it will be locked to user’s machine it was first opened on

    You will require the following information to distribute PDFs:
    - First name of the recipient
    - Last name of the recipient
    - Email address of the recipient

    Note:
    your Company or Full name will be watermarked on the PDF as provided in the Billing page of the checkout process .

    The end PDF distributed as part of Multi-user PDF purchase are protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM). Read more about DRM here.

    To open your PDFs you’ll need to:
    a. install FileOpen plugin
    b. ensure your PDF reader is up to date. Click to get the latest version of Acrobat Reader here

    FileOpen supports PDF viewers such as Foxit Reader, Nuance PDF Reader, Nitro PDF Reader, Tracker PDF-Xchange and Bluebeam PDF Revu as outlined here.

    Multi User PDFs are Digital Rights Managed, which means you'll need to download and install some software and follow instructions to access your file.
