Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Describes a common framework for software life cycle processes, with well-defined terminology for access by the software industry. Includes processes, activities and tasks for application during the acquiring of a system containing software, a stand-alone software product and service; also during the supply, development, operation and maintaining of software products. Also includes the software part of firmware. In addition, gives a process for definition, control and improvement of software life cycle processes.
