    This standard is included in DIN Handbook 300/6 and DIN VDE Handbook 342/5. Applies to components, appliances and equipment which, in the event of a fire, extract smoke and heat from a building. It defines concepts relating to smoke and heat control installations and those associated with fire phenomena. It also gives instructions and specifications to be observed when applying the various types of smoke and heat vents.
