    Gives a pyknometric method for the determining the density in xylene of calcined coke and calcined carbon products in the production of aluminium. Requires a pyknometer, Gay-Lussac, type 3, capacity 25 ml and a degassing apparatus. Includes apparatus description, sampling and samples and illustrates a typical degassing apparatus.
