Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Specifies materials, dimensions, mechanical and physical characteristics of glass filament reinforced thermosetting polyester resin pipes primarily for use in buried installations transporting water, sewage and some industrial wastes. Includes classes for working pressures up to 2.5 MPa, and diameter from 150 to 2500 mm.

Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

This Standard specifies materials, dimensions, marking and mechanical and physical characteristics of glass filament reinforced thermo-setting polyester resin pipes with flexible joints allowing angular deflections and telescopic movements primarily intended for use in buried installations transporting water, sewage and some controlled industrial wastes. These pipes can also be used for above ground applications provided due allowance is made for the particular conditions of such use. For use in severe conditions reference should be made to AS 2634.NOTES:1. Advisory information on methods of determining compliance of a 'lot' with this Standard is given in Appendix A.2. Appendix C sets out enquiry, tendering and ordering guidelines for purchasers and suppliers.
