This British Standard specifies the principal external dimensions of a range of vertical “in-line?? centrifugal single-stage pumps of the “U?? type, normally driven by vertical close-coupled electric motors.

Other forms of drive are not excluded, provided the pump complies with the requirements of 2.1.
