This Standard applies to cord-connected and permanently connected engine heaters and battery warmers for use on nominal system voltages of 600 V and less that are designed to be used in nonhazardous locations such as in passenger automobiles, light trucks, and heavy duty on- and off—road vehicles in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
