    Dieser Teil von EN 302 beschreibt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Längs-Scherfestigkeit von Klebstoffverbindungen an überlappten Prüfkörpern aus Buche (Fagus silvatica L.) mit dünnen und dicken Klebstofffugen. Er ist für folgende Anwendungsfälle geeignet: a) Zur Beurteilung der Übereinstimmung von Klebstoffen für tragende Holzbauteile. b) Zur Beurteilung der Eignung und der Qualität von Klebstoffen für tragende Holzbauteile. c) Zum Vergleich der Klebefestigkeit bei dünnen und dicken Klebstofffugen. Dieses Prüfverfahren dient hauptsächlich der Ermittlung von Leistungswerten für die Klassifizierung von Klebstoffen für tragende Holzbauteile entsprechend ihrer Eignung zum Einsatz unter bestimmten klimatischen Bedingungen. Dieses Prüfverfahren ist nicht zur Ermittlung von Rechenwerten geeignet und gibt nicht zwangsläufig das Verhalten des verklebten Bauteiles während des Gebrauchs wieder. Es ist nicht anwendbar zur Beurteilung der Eignung von Klebstoffen für die Herstellung von Holzwerkstoffen.
