Dieser Teil der Norm liefert Angaben zur Geometrie von Anschlussflächen, die zur Oberflächenmontage von elektronischen Bauteilen verwendet werden. Absicht der hier vorgelegten Angaben ist es, die geeignete Grösse, Form und Toleranzen von Anschlussflächenbildern zur Oberflächenmontage anzugeben, um eine hinreichende Fläche für eine Lötkehle sicherzustellen und auch die Prüfung und Nacharbeit derartiger Lötverbindungen zu gewährleisten.
