This standard applies to pipes and fittings made of ductile cast iron for transport - of water for human consumption; - of water if drinking water suitability is required (e.g. for areas of application such as fire fighting, snowmaking and irrigation or for hydropower plants); - of different types of water, if this is subsequently intended for human use (e.g. raw water, treated water, treated water).
