The aim of the implementation of the pan-European in-vehicle emergency call system (eCall) is to automate the notification of the occurrence of a traffic accident event across Europe with the same technical standards and the same quality of service objectives by using a "Public Land Mobile Network" (PLMN) supporting the European previously assigned emergency destination address (see Normative references) and to provide a tool for manual Trigger the notification of the occurrence of an emergency.
