This document specifies requirements for the classification of cored wire electrodes and filler rods for metal arc welding with or without gas protection of stainless and heat-resistant steels; the classification is based on the chemical composition of the pure weld metal, the type of filling, the shielding gas, the welding position and the mechanical properties of the pure weld metal in the weld state or after heat treatment.
