    Establishes rules designed to achieve the free movement of pyrotechnic articles in the internal market while, at the same time, ensuring a high level of protection of human health and public security and the protection and safety of consumers and taking into account the relevant aspects related to environmental protection. It establishes the essential safety requirements which pyrotechnic articles must fulfill with a view to their being placed on the market.
