This commercial item description (CID) covers manual and semiautomatic horizontal bandsaws with mitering capabilities used for metal cutoff operations. This CID includes both hinge-type multistep and infinitely variable-speed horizontal bandsaws and twin post-type infinitely variable-speed horizontal bandsaws. This CID also incorporates the combination horizontal and vertical multistep speed bandsaws. The bandsaws covered by this CID are intended for general cutoff operations on metal stock.
