This CID covers the general requirements for brass or bronze unions with threaded pipe or solder-joint tube connections for joining nonferrous pipe and tubing. The unions covered by this CID, which are intended for commercial/industrial applications, are compatible with standard weight copper or brass pipe, copper water tube, cast bronze threaded fittings, cast bronze solder-joint pressure fittings, and wrought copper and bronze solder-joint pressure fittings.
