A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

This guide is primarily directed towards architects engineers and constructors. It describes various situations where design requirements results in highly congested forms, which impede the consolidation of concrete. Techniques to overcome these difficulties are presented. The guide also identifies two constructors various placing and consolidation conditions with proposed solutions as special procedures and mixture proportions. The guide also alerts constructors to closely review design drawings where congested areas are expected to ensure appropriate allowances have been included in their bids.
