Information on concrete anchoring based on world wide test programs, is presented in this document. Performance of different anchor types, including cast in place, grouted, expansion, torque controlled, chemical (adhesive), and undercut anchors is presented for both uncracked and cracked concrete. Failure modes in tension and shear, spacing and edge distance, group performance, and load displacements are discussed. The effect of loading conditions on structural supports, column based, and pipe supports is discussed as well as base plate flexibility, how load is transferred to anchors, and ductility. Design criteria and existing code requirements, are presented.
