The aim of this design aid booklet is to reduce the amount of computation required for a complete analysis of the effects of torsional loading on structural members. Tables and charts are provided for the solution of torsion problems. Restraining effects of contiguous framing conditions in actual structures are investigated and a procedure provided to calculate the resulting reduced torsion.
