Purpose of this Allied Movement Publication Nr. 1(A) is to standardize for NATO forces the: 1. basic military road traffic regulations; 2. operation orders, tables and graphs for road movement; 3. methods and procedures used on military routes and route/road networks; 4. basic regulations for military road movement be wheeled and tracked vehicles; 5. marking of military vehicles; 6. methods of identifying movement control and traffic control personnel and agencies (for all modes of transport); 7. driver familiarization program.
