Seismic Provisions for Evaluation and Retrofit of Existing Structural Steel Buildings (ANSI/AISC 342) was developed and approved by the AISC Committee on Specifications. This document is a revision to the structural steel provisions provided in the 2017 edition of ASCE/SEI 41, Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit of Existing Buildings, and is intended to be adopted in Chapter 9 of the next edition of that standard. The 2022 version of ANSI/AISC 342 is the first edition of this standard. Dual-units format provides for both U.S. customary and S.I. units.
