A - Recommendations for tape cartridge transportation
B - DCRsi model characteristics

Ascertains the format of information on 25.4 mm (1 in) type DCRsi instrumentation digital cartridges. It also specifies the dimensions and locations of the transverse scan data and pilot tone track, the control track and the longitudinal data track. It delineates the formatting, randomizing, ECC, and other recording requirements of the data blocks forming the transverse data record, containing user data and other associated data and specifies the content, format, and recording method for the control record to ensure that a compliant recorder will be able to reproduce the recorded tape.
