    Defines a method for calculating the expected noise-induced permanent threshold shift (NIPTS) in the hearing threshold levels of adult populations due to various levels and durations of noise exposure, as well as the total hearing levels resulting from NIPTS in combination with aging and other causes of hearing impairment.
