AN ENGINEERING ASSESSMENT OF VOLUMETRIC METHODS OF LEAK DETECTION IN ABOVEGROUND STORAGE TANKS
15-06-2013
01-10-1991
Provides the results of a leak protection project in aboveground storage tanks which utilized volumetric methods to detect leaks. A series of field tests were conducted on a 114-foot diameter tank that contained a heavy naphtha petroleum project. The analytical and experimental results of this project suggest that volumetric leak detection methods can be used to detect small leaks in aboveground storage tanks.
