Specifies a standard presentation for fire control plans on ships. The Standard specifies symbols for fire-resistant structures, equipment, and controls for the confinement and extinction of fires. This Standard now includes symbols for halon gas equipment and systems, and the symbols for portable fire extinguisher symbols align with the Standards for portable fire extinguishers. Symbols are produced in colour for ease of identification, but are identifiable without colour for convenience during the initial preparation of the plans.
