This Standard prescribes a method for determining the weight factor of a particular type of papermaking fibre by comparison to another type of fibre of known or assigned weight factor. The weight factor so determined is used in the determination of the mass proportion of the fibre components of a sample of paper (see AS 1301.451rp-92 Fibre furnish analysis).
