A variety of test methods are used for measuring opacity depending on the purpose of the measurement. This Standard prescribes a method for measuring the type of opacity which governs the extent to which one sheet of paper visually obscures printed matter on underlying sheets. Technically equivalent to ISO 2471:1977.
