Forms a basis for identification schemes in structures, industrial and commercial premises generally, and ships and associated shore installations, for water, steam, oil and other combustible liquids, gases, vapours and dusts, acids and alkalis, air, electricity and other fluids, ionizing radiation, communications, and hazardous services generally. Appendices include methods of identification specified in other Australian Standards, specifications for the symbols used to indicate ionizing radiation and the biological hazard warning symbol, chromaticity values and Munsell gloss references for the colours, requirements for lettering and alternative methods of identification.
