Sets out requirements for specifying normal-class and special-class concrete and for manufacturing these, by either the batch or the continuous production method, for supply to the user in the plastic state. Gives performance requirements for the materials and plant used in the manufacturing process, including accuracy of measuring and batch equipment. Criteria for compliance with specified plastic and hardened state properties are also given, together with references to standard methods of testing for these. Appendices cover methods of assessment for compliance with compressive strength criteria and information to be supplied when ordering the different classes of concrete.
