Specifies requirements for elevating work platforms as defined in AS 2549, Cranes - Glossary of Terms. Does not apply to passenger goods lifts, builders' hoists or fixed elevating work platforms, nor does it apply to any matter relating to firefighting equipment or any matter relating to the vehicles upon which aerial devices are mounted, except to a vehicle being, while stationary, a stable support for the aerial device. Appendices provide guidance on typical elevating work platforms, baskets, platforms, outriggers, stabilizers and extendable axles, noise levels, typical test certificate, and vehicle specifications.
