This specification applies to two-component cold-applied joint sealing compounds, based on polysulphide synthetic rubber, intended for the sealing of joints in all types of buildings, where accommodation, by a properly cured compound, is required for in-service variations of up to ¦25 percent in nominal joint width together with tightness against dirt, wind and water. Notes on the use are given in Appendix K. A 'layman's' glossary of sealant terms is given in Appendix L.
