Applies to the installation of hot water supply systems in household premises and for commercial and industrial installations which are comparable to household installations. It covers instantaneous and storage type systems and all forms of heating, and is intended to provide details of the work and material necessary to ensure an efficient hot water supply at the points of usage. The code includes responsibilities of the contractors, installation of the water heater, cold water feed tank, plumbing, installation requirements for the heating medium, and testing and making good. Appendices cover typical rates of flow and recommended sizes of pipe.
