A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

AS 1635.19.1-1974 sets out a method which should be used primarily for specification purposes inasmuch as the actual amount of tape used in any specific application and its configuration may alter the burning time.
