Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Sets out rules for the design and fabrication of aluminium alloy load-carrying members. Separate sections deal with materials and their properties, general design requirements, geometrical properties, maximum permissible stresses, combined stresses, design of connections, fabrication and painting. Appendices provide tables of maximum permissible stress for the alloys and the sections normally used, and also cover fatigue.

Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

These Rules (hereinafter referred to as 'this Code') apply to the design and fabrication of aluminium alloy load-carrying members.
