General construction and material requirements, minimum physical properties, and tolerances on width are given. Power capacities in kW/25 mm of belt width at 180 degrees arc of contact are tabulated for belt speeds from 5 to 30 m/s, small pulley diameters from 75 to 1400 mm and tensile strengths from 190 to 575 kN/m width. Arc of contact correction factors are tabulated and recommendations and examples for drive design are given in appendices.
