Sets out requirements for materials and installation design and practice. The Code applies in particular to situations where subfloor clearances and other considerations will be such that the exposed edges of barriers (caps or strip shielding) will be accessible for inspection, and the barriers will be unlikely to be subjected to damage. An extensive foreword deals with the nature of the hazard and design and other considerations. The Code states requirements for the performance of barriers, their manufacture, and their incorporation in cavity and solid masonry construction.
