    Sets out requirements for passenger lifts which are specifically designed to assist persons with disabilities. Applies only to lifts for which a building authority having jurisdiction stipulates the provision of facilities for persons with disabilities; however, it does not apply to lifts in a private residence.

    This Standard sets out requirements for facilities in passenger lifts that are specifically designed to assist persons with disabilities. It is complementary to AS 1735.1, AS 1735.2 and AS 1735.3.Where any conflict arises between Parts of AS 1735, the provisions of this Part shall take precedence.
