Specifies requirements for powered low-rise vertically lifting platforms. The platforms are capable of being electrically isolated by a key-lockable control. It is intended that the Standard be applied only where the platform is used infrequently, primarily by persons with limited mobility. Guidance on periodic inspection and testing, and on selection of the preferred type of lift are given in appendices.
