This recommendation describes the procedure to be used for sampling liquid dielectrics in delivery containers and in electrical equipment. Where an analysis for dissolved gas is required, instructions relating to the method of sampling and sampling device will be given in the IEC publication, now under consideration, dealing with this topic. This same special method may also be used when determination of low water content is required. The present recommendation applies to liquids whose viscosity at the sampling temperature is less than 1 500 cSt.
